Lockdown

Closed off from the world, 

I think I've shut down, 

Feeling so dark and cold...

I'm under lockdown.

Not letting anyone inside,

Not letting myself out, 

Just locked up, and almost died...

Nobody hears me cry and shout. 

Locked up, no key in sight, 

Walls can't be in any way breached, 

I'll lie alone and dying tonight...

No way I'll be reached.

I don't want anyone to see 

What I mess I've become, 

All that's happened to me... 

My lockdown is done. 

Walls are up, yet no one sees, 

They don't know they're locked out, 

The fake me hides the lock and keys...

Nobody knows, there's no getting me out.
