Tranquility Bay

Tranquility Bay

A Story by Hayllie
"

Just some thoughts, for the day as I sit listening to music.

"
She sat in wounder, watching as the wind softly lifted the strands of her hair. Tiny ripples in the water played in motion. The world seeming to have to limit to time. Peace is all she could feel as the moon, hanging high above began casting brilliant lights on the dancing water. If ever she wished to be free and at peace; it would be in this place. Her mind even felt at ease as she lay back in the grass, closing her eyes to a peaceful tranquility. Her mind played back the memories of she and her love. How they had shared many great adventures together. Her love had found this spot a perfect place for them to start their memories and their lives. The adventures and warmth of the precious times danced through her head, filling her heart with pure joy! At the present moment, she couldn't even find any times when their joy turned to anger or fights. Still she smiled; but her smiles soon turned to tears as the good, but painful memories reappeared of the last time she was here. He had gave his life for her and she was filled with guilt. "Always come to this place, if we are ever to be apart. That way you will always feel me. I will always be with you." His voice rang in her ears. She promised to always come here when she felt alone. Sitting back up, the water lapped at her toes. Wrapping her arms around her legs, she hugged herself tight. How she missed him. Just as the moon made it's final resting stop high in the sky; the voice which called to her so many times in her dreams, now appeared again. "I told you I would always be here." She turned to see her love standing just behind her. His arms open and ready for her, as she ran to him. "I've missed you so!" She cried. His gentle hands wiping her tears. "I've been waiting for you." He smiled, as he took her hand and together once again, walked off through the cool water, to their eternity. A love once separated by pain, now reunited by love for eternity!"*

Your short story, full of longing & sensory description, reminds me of a best friend, deceased 6 years, but still so much a part of my thoughts & feelings. I believe there are more connections than we know-it-all humans think we have identified. So much more "out there" which is a mystery (((HUGS)))

You create a wonderful story with a happy ending.
"I've been waiting for you." He smiled, as he took her hand and together once again, walked off through the cool water, to their eternity. A love once separated by pain, now reunited by love for eternity!"*

Thank you!
I almost always have music on in the background as I write...music, mostly rock, folk, etc. has been the soundtrack of my life and my writing...so I hear you on this one.
