A Kingdom Will Fall

The choice between a love and a Kingdom will have a price, for if you choose wrong you loose either way...

"I wanted our love to be eternal. She is my everything and I can't imagine my life without her

She completes me." His words fell softly from his lips, the heartbreak clear in 

his tone. "You say you love her, but she is not like us. She is not our kind.

Dangerous, a demon in disguise." An eerie silence fell between them, as 

though there were no more words left to say. Could he be right? Could she really be 

a demon in disguise? Could she be dangerous? It didn't matter to him, because his heart would 

only beat for her. His skin longed to be touched by hers. "She is the other half of me."

"Bowdey, the world is not what it once was.

You have expectations that cannot be forgotten. This kingdom is looking to you for leadership and guidance.

You can't be reckless with your decisions." "I love her." "You are promised 

to a kingdom. That will come before any woman, especially one 

as seductive as her." Bowdey let his father's words fill his every pore, as the anger slowly rose

at the thought of having to rule without her by his side. His kingdom could

fall and he wouldn't loose sleep, but to loose her would be 

the end of him. 

"If I were to choose between my love for her, and my Kingdom; I would gladly let it fall for me to take her 

hand and make her mine." "Then you are not a king, but a traitor and demon as she." Bowdey simply smiled and

let the silence build. His Kingdom needed a king, but she was his everything

and she needed him more. And today would be the day he walked away from everything he knew to become 

a man that longed for true love. "To me she may be a demon, but she is a demon seeking peace 

and maybe I am the angel seeking a little danger." With that, he turned

walking into the looming darkness to find the other half of what made him.

Just something that came to mind, that I am making a story as I come up with more...So until then my friends...To Be Continued....

This is such a great write. The choice the main character makes could also be interpreted as a choice between love and power. He chose love. Your main character is wise.
