Beauty is In and Out

This isn't poem but someone somewhere needs to see this today!

What is beauty? I have always heard that beauty is in the eye of the beholder; 

but what does that really mean?

To me, beauty is "modelesque", 

it is thin with overly defined muscle tone, gorgeous tan skin, reeking in sex appeal. 

My body isn't this. My body is thick, my body has scars from the bullying,

my body isn't beautifully tan, because it burns to easy; but

not to fair that it's never seen a tan, 

The mirror I look in doesn't reflect beauty. 

It shows me something that makes me feel things I shouldn't. 

Disgusting, fat, outsider. Things no one wants to hear, but words that my mind plays on constant repeat. 

I am not the image I once was. Age, stress, childbirth, all have taken my once young skin

and changed it. Now stretch marks, and old wounds that refused to heal, birth marks that are supposed to be

another representation of beauty, all show the signs of a worn skin. 

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". To acknowledge beauty is to accept beauty as it is

in all forms. Beauty comes in all shapes and all sizes. It has no age limit

and it has no restrictions. We all bleed red inside, and though outside may have different characteristics

our beauty is special. Freckles, high cheek bones, thickness, thinness. Beauty is different. Media tells us different so we judge

Models that starve themselves to keep thin, telling the younger generations

that you must look a certain way to feel beauty. If you crave to feel beauty

Love Yourself, Love your differences. Love your flaws and all the stretch marks in between. 

I look a certain way, because my beauty is different from yours. I have stretch marks, freckles, 

birth marks and sometimes my jeans fit tight. I am a beautiful woman that loves myself and my curves. 

Love yourself as you are. Male, Female, young, old. God loves you the way you were created. 

I love you as you are; because Beauty is In and Out.

A Beautiful Soul makes an extremely Beautiful you!

love the skin your in should be embraced worldwide and not just used as some advertising slogan .......... Nice one Hayllie :)
