Staked my Claim

Staked my Claim

A Poem by Boudene

I have staked my claim on your lips
,
Leaving the ghost of my own there to protect them.

I have staked claim in your mind,
with the ability to explore the pathways of your thoughts.

I have staked my claim on your body,
my kisses and heat and hugs enveloping what is mine to love
.
I have staked my claim,
until the end of time,
even if our bond is broken
.
Remnants of my shattered stake plunged into you will remain.

As will yours in mine”

This is powerful,
I like the way you repeated of you staking your claim.

It's almost hypnotizing.

Even though a bond is broken, the memories will always stay there wether we like it or not.

And sometimes it does feel like a stake through the heart..
