A Child's View

A Child's View

A Poem by Mark Witterick

I would join you, but I am trapped.
I seek to follow you, yet I am halted.

You pass it with ease, I am stuck.
Tears fall, for now I am sad.
Mother appears nature transformed.

My path now open to catch you I am reaching.
I move onwards forever falling but now free.

Lovely, is the child maybe free momentarily before the next trap, aka''forever falling''?

The poem was a response to this prompt. If it helps at all.

Yes, I see how that prompt would inspire this poem!
