The days that never were

The days that never were

A Poem by Lefty78

I miss the days that never were

Before there was a window in every girls bedroom door

When the days could be a bore

I miss the days that never were

When the veneer wasn’t a necessity

And when things were allowed to be s****y

I miss the days that never were

When there weren’t pills to make you happy

Or to make your dick hard

I miss the days that never were

The days I’ll never see without glasses,

Glasses tinted with cocaine and whiskey

Or headphones that refuse to play anything

Anything but rock and roll

I miss the days that never were
