Backyard

Backyard

A Poem by Boring~Potato

In the backyard, we danced with glee,
Underneath the old oak tree.
Twirling, spinning, feet in the grass,
Moments like these too fleeting to pass.

Laughing, carefree, hearts so light,
In our own little world, out of sight.
Music played in our minds,
As we left all worries behind.

Memories made in the setting sun,
Our backyard dance, forever begun.
A love of movement, pure and true,
In that moment, just me and you.

Though time may pass and days may fade,
In our hearts, this memory has stayed.
Dancing in the backyard, forevermore,
A bond so strong, to our very core.
