what if the bad guy wasn't really bad?

what if the bad guy wasn't really bad?

A Poem by Boring~Potato

What if the bad guy wasn't the bad guy,
But just misunderstood in the blink of an eye?
What if his actions were fueled by fear,
And his heart was burdened by a past unclear?

Maybe his scars run deep and wide,
And his demons never truly died.
Could it be that he's just searching for light,
Lost in the darkness of his endless night?

What if we took the time to understand,
The pain and anguish of his barren land?
Would we see a soul in need of grace,
Instead of a villain to be erased?

Perhaps compassion is the key,
To unlock the chains of his captivity.
And in the end, we might just find,
That the bad guy was never truly unkind.
