Simple?

Simple?

A Poem by Boring~Potato

Am I really just a simple Mexican girl
With a history tainted by traitors unfurled
Born into a land of rich culture and pride
Yet plagued by whispers of deceit on all sides
Generations before me, in shadows they roam
Their legacy casting a dark shadow on my home
Am I defined by the sins of those long past
Or do I have the power to break free at last
I am more than just the blood in my veins
I am a woman of courage, strength, and gains
I'll rise above the whispers of betrayal and shame
And carve my own path, reclaiming my name
So judge me not by the whispers of the past
But by the fire in my soul that will forever last
I am a Mexican girl, proud and true
And I'll defy the odds, no matter what they say or do.
