Kindred Spirits

Kindred Spirits

A Poem by Boring~Potato

Medusa and I, Kindred Spirits

We both bear the weight of a curse,

Trapped in a form not of our choosing,

Forced to confront the world's harsh gaze,

Longing for connection, yet fearing rejection.

Her snakes, my scars, a testament to our pain,

Reminders of the trauma we've endured,

Shielding ourselves from the judgment of others,

Seeking solace in the shadows we've become.

Yet, in the depths of our solitude,

We find a kinship, a shared understanding,

A realization that our differences are but illusions,

For beneath the surface, we are one and the same.

In the stillness of the night, we whisper our stories,

Weaving a tapestry of resilience and survival,

Embracing the beauty that lies within our flaws,

Reclaiming the power that was once stolen from us.

Medusa and I, kindred spirits,

Bound by the weight of our burdens,

But finding strength in the knowledge

That we are not alone in this journey.
