Chasing love like a drug

Chasing love like a drug

A Poem by Boring~Potato

Love is sometimes not a good thing,

A tangled web of emotions that sting.

It blinds us to the truth,

Leads us astray in our youth.

We chase after it like a drug,

Ignoring the warning signs with a shrug.

But love can be cruel and unkind,

Leaving shattered hearts behind.

We give our all, our everything,

Hoping for the joy that love can bring.

But sometimes it's a heavy burden to bear,

Leaving us broken, lost in despair.

Yet still we search, we long for the spark,

That makes us feel alive in the dark.

For love, despite its flaws and pain,

Is a treasure we can't help but gain.
