War's Legacy

War's Legacy

A Poem by Boring~Potato

War, the ultimate test of men
Where valor and strength are put to the test
Blood and tears, the price we pay
For glory and victory, we strive each day

Brothers turned into enemies, fighting for power
Leaving behind destruction, in every hour
Families torn apart, by the ravages of war
Children orphaned, left to pick up the scars

In the heat of the battle, courage shines bright
But the aftermath leaves a bitter plight
For the ones who survive, the memories remain
Of the horrors of war, a never-ending pain

Let us strive for peace, and put an end to the fight
For wars bring nothing but sorrow and plight
Let us embrace love, and unity instead
And build a world where peace may tread.
