Hearted No More

Hearted No More

A Poem by Boricua Justice

Can we find love anymore?

Time wasting in searching to fill this void that we're trying to ignore

This  hunt has become somewhat a figment of our imagination

Impossible that chasing blank spaces

Will ever end up nothing more than a

Lucrative spending arrangement

Until we're bone dry

Then they leave us for another guy

What if I turned the tables have you thinking that your irreplaceable

And leave you out to dry?

Funny tho my mind keeps telling me to let you go

but heart my still reasons like its a chess player smoking dope

Wishing I had desired a love the was unbreakable but settled because I was impatient

Now I'm standing here  like what the hell was I thinking?

All because of you my heart has been rearranged

Your poem speaks of the classic need that we all have of finding a true companion to love and trust. But, frequently this leads to disappointment and heartbreak. Your message is clear and the words easy to read. The fourth line is a little obscure, to me. Some lines are really long and could perhaps be broken into smaller ones. Oh well. It's an interesting poem which evokes some emotions and gives us something to think about.
