Birds-Eye

Birds-Eye

A Poem by Don

Birds-Eye

As every green wave crests,

A small, white building atop

A hill rocks.

Precariously perched,

Green terraces ripple outward,

As wind-swept.

Flip-Flap! Flip-Flap!  The gull

Flies over the house,

Atop the hill.

The sky,

Clear and blue,

Provides the perfect

Backdrop to viewing

Em’rald-colored grassy waves.

Don
Old poem that was inspired by a picture--I don't know where said picture is.

About
Reading and writing have always been forms of escapism for me. Some days, I would much rather be engrossed in a story, be it my own or from someone else--I am sure many people can relate to this. .. more..
