SacrilegiousA Poem by Yue ZhangIt's a song I wroteThrow it away that never-ending cycle Toss it out My broken shattered life Reaching towards the darkness deep within Can't be precious crumbling to pieces I'm raining on today I'm taking it all away I held on for too long waiting for our song Standing all alone in the center of the room Strangers passing by with pity in their eyes as I hung my head tears staining my eyes red What kind of love is this? The kind that I'll never miss No commitment no fulfillment Sacrilegious can't be precious crumbling to pieces I'm raining on today making it go away Don't bother looking for me I'm setting you free I never had a choice unable to find my voice Were you the prisoner? Or was I? Bound by this sacrilegious lie The love that was never born emotions that were so forlorn Sacrilegious Can't be precious crumbling to pieces I'm taking it all away saving it for another day Promises that were never kept created tension that never slept Silence was our norm awaiting the next storm Too tired to piece it back together start looking for better weather Why did you leave me behind with this stranger, This stranger who is so unkind I thought we had something special something that was worthwhile Sacrilegious Can't be precious crumbling to pieces I'm saying my goodbyes leaving you behind © 2011 Yue ZhangFeatured Review
