Pretty flowers

"Is he coming this way?"

"No"

"Is he now?"

"Do you want me to call him?"

"No! Don't do that, it'll sting."

"Honey, if he wants it that bad, he'll come"

"What if he passes me?"

"Then another will come."

"I can't wait that long, I'll get old and wither."

"Then you should have been more colorful"

"I can't help that, I am who I am."

"Well, can't help you there."

She watched with jealously as the bumblebee lightly settled on her friend, gently sucked the nectar out, and flew away. 

"Better luck next year."

"I'm so not blooming next year."
