Chapter 1 p.g 2

Kate was expecting a great summer trip to California.She didn't plan for her plane to crash into an island that's not even on the maps.Or falling for an immortal,who might love her or might kill her.

“Kate!The bell rang,snap out of it!” Jasmine shook my shoulders gently. Hmm,I seriously need to stop my dazing off. Well, it's better than actually paying attention to what Geometry has to offer.

“Okay I'm awake now,I can't wait for summer vacation!” I got up,and smoothed down my baby blue shirt.

I have been waiting for summer vacation for awhile now. Not just to avoid Geometry,pop quizzes,and getting up early,but because of our trip to California. Washington was cooler than sunny California,so I was definitely going to need new clothing. My closet was just jeans,sweaters,Van's and Converse shoes,and my favorite shirts. That wasn't going to be helpful in California unless I wanted to boil.

“Did you know California and Washington have 3 hours time difference?” Anna stated stacking her school books in her hands.

That was my Anna. Sometimes I teased her and called her Velma Dinkley . She always is loosing her glasses! That's exactly why I am giving her contacts on her birthday coming soon. She didn't like that, but she always got tomato faced when I mentioned the name so I kept doing it.

“Ah no,and did you know the hottest guys are in California? I've seen them in movies and magazines! I'm so going to hook up with them!” Jasmine gushed as she fixed her hair.

“That's not a fact Jasmine. You girls don't respect the facts the world can offer you. Especially, the facts I state and distribute with you guys. They're will be a day when you all will need my knowledge.” Anna stood straight,and raised her left eyebrow at us,crossing her arms.

“Come on people we need to get to 6^th period class, I don't want to be late. Want to do something after school ?Maybe get a bite to eat?I'm hungry” I shouldn't skip breakfast anymore,it makes me very hungry later in the day.

“Yeah that's cool,I'm in. Meet me after school next to my car.” Jasmine said as we all walked out of the classroom to Anna' s locker.

“I'll go but I have to get home early to study for a test.”Anna stated as we reached her locker.

“That's okay,I have to go home early to. My mom wants to spend as much time with me before I go on the trip.” I said as I opened Anna' s locker for her,since it always got stuck.

It was a miracle that my mom let me go alone with my friends to California. Well, not completely alone. Anna' s cousin David was going to come with us since we needed adult supervision. I didn't want my mother coming because she was way over protecting. It would be nice not to feel so chained up for once in awhile. So,we convinced David to take us instead of our parents. David was a bit sketchy about taking us,I mean who wouldn't! He's a 18 year old guy going to be stuck with 3 teenage girls,with our girly ways! I am not sure how Anna convinced him but he accepted taking us. Which trust me,was awesome by me.Not.

I first saw David when I went to Anna' s house. Anna and I were observing these tiny,shiny crystals that she had gotten from her father in her backyard. I was interested in figuring out how to make them into jewelry,while Anna was wondering what they were made of. I was dazing off watching the birds on Anna 's birdhouse when I heard Anna scream.

I turned her way alarmed,when I saw her covered in worms. Her hair was wet with some sort of liquid,and I swear I saw an ugly worm sticking out of her hair. She was jumping,squealing, and shaking her hair. I hurriedly got up and I helped her get the worms out,even though I was just as grossed out as her.

“What happened?Anna listen to me, stop screaming! Let me help stay still.” I plucked the worms out of her hair and brushed the once on her shoulder.

She sniffed. “ David. It was David.” Her eyes blurred with tears.

“David?” I asked “But,there's no one here in the backyard besides us?” Confusion taking over me,as I looked around.

I heard a chuckle above me,and looked up. That's when I saw him,and got covered in wet worms just like Anna.

i have no idea why but when i got to the part where Anna screamed my heart literlay skipped a beat! lol u write really well and i can't wait for this to be finished :) keep up the good work :)
