a dream of my daughter

a dream of my daughter

A Poem by Dusty Hamilton
"

danced in my head no sugar-plum blossoms or ''roses are red'

"

a dream of my daughter.

 taken away

but i saw my sister instead

when i stood up + told her she wouldn't be going

a look of

  a smile

crossed her head

i turned up

  surprised

when it came to

  my eyes

that she's not

alone on the plight

there sat beside

 my dear little

  sis was another

   i'd mis. for she

was also a dear sister of mine

and i've come to report

i was there to protect + look over

their ship while it stayed, in port
