Did u really just throw that cigarette on the ground?

Did u really just throw that cigarette on the ground?

A Poem by Dusty Hamilton
"

don't let it be said i don't write about revelent issues..i.e. recycling

"

Triple redundancy exists in a lab

not in our oceans or forests or slab

should we persist in hazardous stunts

nature's sure to make us feel the brunt

ecology's economy will soon be our foe

the resultant equation will not let us grow

we'll be fed to eruptions not corporate lather

dna be a slide as well as a ladder.

So off the earth (delicately shoved)

if we don't make it clear that she is our loved

turn of the tide unable to fathom

the balance shifting us to a chasm

 perilous fortune not to acquire

no one able to grant a ceasefire

a slide of bacteria that we create

might it determine the pendulum's fate?

Once we go down road void of concern

 judgment is rendered, not overturned

so as you dispose of what you call waste

think of the harm we all might just face

subtle dismissal of yourself as a role

will in fact not be noticed by one other sole.
