In the SilenceA Poem by BonnyRiversLong after all the chaos, when the visitors have gone home, When the world it starts to spin once more, but you feel you’re left behind, And the happy sound of laughter brings old memories to mind. When your thoughts are hard to handle, emotions drained and raw. When your heart is close to breaking, and you cannot take much more, It’s then that I am watching, I’m only at the door. I’m very quietly waiting, in the silence of your heart, Although I know that sometimes, it feels we’re worlds apart. I’m free now as the swallow, that sails on breeze and wing, So search for me no more now as you go about your days, Live your life as I lived my mine, show love in all your ways. Smile as though you mean it, and very soon you’ll see,
