I CLIMBED A TREE

I CLIMBED A TREE

A Poem by Bonnie Paige

I climbed a tree and reached for the sky.
I walked the streets of heaven seeking and asking why?

The sounds I heard echoed through my mind, pounding out my anger, tugging away at my pain...I fell to my knees and cried out loud.

The crippled held their heads up high. The sick struggled and never died.
I cried for myself. The working man, worked a long hard day.
A child smiled then skipped away...I felt ashamed.
God held his hand out to me.

I climbed back down the tree.
On my feet I stand to face the earth. In place of my anger I've built my pride. In place of my pain I built a fountain to catch the tears I'll cry inside.

Such amazing courage to reach for the sky and find your courage met with some glorious results, Bonnie.
Prayer, yes, is ever the answer for those who trust in the Lord. Hurting so much but then finding the pain inside and fighting it, proving a victor is more than a simple lesson learned. Your final comments tell the winner's tale, and, yet... those tears are still considerable but perhaps to help you wash out what hurts til, you can balance your emotions.. somehow. I don't know, not truly, but have tried despeertably to stand in your place and that's never easy. Never. Hugs and bestest wishes.. you deserve bouquests for what you tell.. or medals. Both? Take care, keep safe, please.
