WITH THIS LIFEA Poem by Bonnie Paige
Can't you hear the pounding thunder; It's my heart that's breaking the silence. Vibrating! Quivering, and resounding through the long distance air of time. Stuck...living for the emptiness of tomorrow. Eyes wide open for today despite the lasting unchangeable past dragging out the weight of my chains. Back...to the shame, back to the sorrow, back to the painful memory of his youthful love. On a dormant bed it lay so deeply - waiting! That one thing...tiny spark - awakens me directly to the drama, crystal deep is heavens blue, eyes that pierced my soul: has yet to let me go. Always and forever my guardian Muse, twisted, broken, tortured, driven by my past 'til death it rings - loud and clear - our final parting.
