US MarinesA Poem by B.S. Scarpa
They wake up before the break of dawn.
They get their cammi's and their boots on. They grab their Rifle, its their best friend. They snap on that flak, The helmet that protect their head.. They run for the hatch, even if they are just few. They stand tall and straight as they guard the gate. You would think they would be scared. But there is no fear instilled in their mind. They see their families in photos and in their head. They see childrens birthdays go by and by. Some never come home , their families cry. They are the US Marines. They are fighting for our country. They stand tall and true at that gate you see. As they fight for you and me. This goes out to all the families, That have lost a Marine. © 2012 B.S. ScarpaReviews
