Underestimated

Underestimated

A Poem by Shelly Farmer
"

Song Lyrics about changing who you are to win someone back

"

Washed up, drained out
I'm a shell, can't you see?
I'm your closest friend
but Your greatest enemy.

Gave you all my heart
You dropped it on the dirty floor
Picked it up and gave it back
Am I so predictable?

It seems I've been underestimated
You've forgotten, I was jaded
Turned around my whole facade
You'll get the game, just play along

This knife shines bright
Serrated like this jagged wound
Sewn shut, made right
It's not okay, I'm bleeding through

My mind is dark
I was never black before
Shadows dance and play the part
I am not responsible
