Seasons of our love

Seasons of our love

A Poem by boneman
"

Love has seasons sadly sometimes winter comes without a spring.....

"

Seasons of our love

In the spring of our love
Your touches were hesitant
Your lips conveyed your passion
Your eyes portrayed your love

In the summer of our love
Your body burned me
Your passion the fire inside you
Your love all consuming

In the autumn of our love
Your passion mellow and fruitful
Your eyes burned autumn gold
The first leaves began to fall

In the winter of our love
Your passion cold
Your eyes freeze as the frost
The chill descends in winters shroud

For there will be no spring

Hey! I like this one. I love the way you used the seasons to show how the relationship changed. There is a simple truth to this that is very nice.

My favorite stanza was the Summer stanza.

"In the summer of our love
Your body burned me
Your passion the fire inside you
Your love all consuming"

Its a lovely poem with a sort of bitter sweet ending. Its always sad when relationships end. Wonderful job as always Boneman!

It could have been perfect if those four seasons were present. Somehow along the way, something must have caused the cycle to break. It's so sad but these things just happen. Perhaps, such happened for a reason. All in all, this is a lovely write.
