Tapestry

Tapestry

A Poem by boneman
"

A tapestry of love and of hearts is picked apart thread by thread until all that is left are tangled strands.

"

Tapestry

A tower with pennants fair
A tapestry is woven
A heart in silken threads
Delicate as a sigh

The tower is falling
The pennants half mast
The tapestry is fading
The silk unfurled

Do you mourn?
As you unpick the silk
As it lies in tatters
Do you cry?

The tapestry lies in pieces
A heart unsewn
A love unfurled
Do you mourn?

i love your work boneman, you seem to be able to write about anything with such sensitivity. this is a sad poem. love like the tapestry in your poem unravelling to leave nothing but tears and arguments, and so many questions. how did it get to this is the main one i take from your poem and do you even care. beautifully sad.

Very sad when a relationship starts to unravel. You find yourself wondering if the other person even cares. I think this is lovely. It again has that timeless quality that so much of your work does. I like the metaphor of the tower collapsing and the pennant torn to shreds. You did good.
