Many Trials Can't Triumph.A Poem by Bonaventure OnuabuchiTo my friend Semira Ogweda, who I guess is seeking our separation by keeping silence.
Like catching the wind,
To unbind the string. More haste, full speed. I tried my heart to off the spring. I clenched my mind in boundless trials. Futility like a flood overwhelmed my triumphs. Whither my heed? The bond refused to cleave, A mind canst be read, searing perplexity do live. I sent my heart to un-numbered errands: 'Go ye heart and spy the mind' 'Come in haste and tell the read' Many trials like dusts and sands. Whither was the end?, nothingness was found. I lie inert, with sorrows and uncertainity around. Silence besieged, annihilation of the bond beckoned. All moments tried I to nourish the end. Like moulding the air, vanity abounded. Light rested in the 'deem to amend'. Call thy heart to a moment pause, With thy mind to hark to mine cause. My trials canst this string be unbinded; Lets triumph over this silence to ages unbounded. . . . Dedicated to Semira Ogweda. © 2015 Bonaventure OnuabuchiFeatured Review
