Still Living.A Poem by Bonaventure OnuabuchiWritten and dedicated to my little cousin, Late Master Emeka Enoch (Pastor Jnr), who died on the 30th of Dec., 2014.
Still living?, yes, in our hearts.
But the mourn of your exit lives supreme. The footpath of grief you left, it blossoms more. Our tears stuck, joy trammelled ; When the illuminating gloom lurked, And the morning echo said, ..."Little Enoch is gone to sleep". See you here, see you no more. Body is vanity, soul is eternity. Vanity bonds with our eyes, Eternity illumines the inside. As the grave feeds of the vanity, We will mourn thee to eternity. ...Sleep well little Enoch... Thou art awake in our hearts. If that bed there delights to lie, Tell we here who lie! But, if by thorns it blessed, When do we hope your safe return? © 2015 Bonaventure OnuabuchiReviews
