Temporal Fear

When all seems to be an illusion and your running scared

Clutching at my soul like a tourniquet,

Strangling like a death holds deeply tight.

Thoughts of indecision swirling constant,

Jagged edges of contemplation stage fight.

Looking backward at all my mistakes,

The many trials and errors sitting dark.

Reminders of bad choices strung along,

Good answers floating aimless disembark.

A storm of great magnitude came in fast,

Washed away my stability to ever dream.

Looking forward at the ashes left behind,

Nothing firm and nothing left to stream.

I face the fear of being left alone in whole,

With nothing helping to ease my thinking.

A life baren encapsulated to a single cell,

While my body feels temporal fear sinking.
