Buried The Emotions Deep

You whispered to me you would never leave,

Then slowly it began in time you would deceive.

I gave you soft words and a night of candle light,

You gave me false hopes the trick of the night.

I told you forever your hand I would lovingly take,

But words from your mouth you would not forsake.

We danced in false dreams of a love held in true,

Inside your mind you knew we were through.

After my mind sat thinking it over many times,

I realized this was a game of which were crimes.

The pain and the anger I didn't want to keep,

I learned the lesson and buried the emotions deep.
