Empath In Me

I just knew with every one that came inside my life....

I knew what they were doing before they went,

The lies and covers along with time spent.

I felt their betrayal long before it took hold

I felt bodies cringe without being told.

I knew the game before the pieces moved,

Was helpless to prevent before being proved.

I just let the events unfold as they took pace,

Followed the paths and watched their face.

All along they thought I was the biggest fool,

Playing the games and thinking I was the tool.

Now the time is said and done in the past sense,

I watch and laugh as another takes the penance.
