Stranger To Myself

Stranger To Myself

A Poem by Bohrium Guy
"

Some ideas for this came from thinking about my past and what I see as a reflection in a mirror...

"

The mirror, the reflection of me?

What I visioned is less then what I see.

Caught by age and loss of loves song,

This image isn't where I belong!

Anger and confused, why I appear pained.

Voices calling out in confusion and strained.

If only I was less than a loving giver...

Maybe then I would find a love to deliver?

But what I see gets pushed away quick

Claiming that the passions didn't click

Felt every lie and promise made and broken

I've read every syllable and line spoken

And still I ask the same question of clarity,

Why must I always lose a love to insanity?

Maybe if I broke the very mirror in question,

My mind could fathom all things in digestion.

It's hard to see ourselves as others see us.
It's almost as if you need another mirror to reflect people's perception of you, so you can see what they see.
Thought provoking.
