Please Don't Slip Away

When things seem to be going south and slipping away....

I never thought about such things

Because of the love my heart sings

I feel you slipping away somehow

Thinking I may not make it now

Rest assured I been through hell

I've had a close one I can surely tell

They see the determination in me

The love I hold inside sincerely

For this I ask don’t slip away

I need you here, for you to stay

My heart I want the good life too

My plans to make one is with you

The storm is a hurdle we all face

By keeping in loves strong embrace

Don’t let go and lose your hope

Its coming quickly end the cope

I am still me buried deep in passion

Not changing in love in any fashion

I still embrace your heart so deep

When your not here secretly I weep

All the things we have shared so fair

The meaning and love is still in there

Don’t forget the smiles and connection

Its deep and powerful loves erection

I am still me just seeing through times

No more burdens just act in love rhymes

Together we climb the tallest hills

Later enjoying all the loving thrills

Its just us as it should be I pray

I ask only, please don’t slip away…

A few minor edits would help. Typos I think.
Overall, I felt the desire.
Sometimes we hold too tight. Someone slipping away may be just needing some space. After all, love must be free of chains.
I enjoyed the sentiment.
