The Trouble With Sleep

The Trouble With Sleep

A Poem by Bohrium Guy
"

When your used to having someone next to you....

"

Toss and turn grab a pillow tight

Back to sleep just another fight

Up again in 20 minutes or later

My dreams the nasty instigator

For years it was nice and warm

Felt movement and blankets form

Lost were those day of sheer delight

When sleep came easy into the night

Now I am cold or to many covers

My pillow don't calm it smothers

My hands not touching flesh of being

My body not held deep in breathing

So awake I am, the up down game

Tomorrows a repeat of the same

I'm to tired to think about sleep

One day the Sand Man will creep

I can relate to this piece; I used to struggle with insomnia. Still do sometimes.
