A Thousand ScreamsA Poem by Bohrium GuyThis was written when there were several fires in the mountains of California. I wrote this long ago as my reflection point. I hope you enjoy. You watch it burn you feel so bad You see the people and you all feel sad To watch the flames take its fire course Everyone fighting with care and remorse
To us it’s different not so calmly serene So much people could never even dream One loss of life is all you would see A dozen people hurt others to flee
One look I can offer a small lil peek Not just the humans its animals I speak Not one cry, scream you will fear Because 1000's is all I get to hear
A human life lost it makes no ones day What of the animals that died in the hay Imagine the cries, the fear stricken heart As fire sets in to burn them apart
What if today you could hear them cry All of God’s animals in the fire they die Screaming in pain and wanting to hide No where to go they burned and died
Welcome to me and my land full of thought Don’t ask me why I am so distraught A 1000 screams I’m hearing each day But I don’t know death so some would say… © 2015 Bohrium Guy |
