Turning Away

Thoughts from the past....

I struggle inside with so many feelings

Thoughts given way lost in the dealings

Shall I stay as I once were mouth sewn shut

While life and thoughts slowly kick my butt

Close off the words, don’t say another thing

Forget what once happily made my mind sing

Don’t see what I can just close off my thinking

Ignore the emotional feelings of slowly sinking

Let others do what they feel life is sadly calling

While sitting alone inside with feelings enthralling

Passion and romance stirring so hard with a bite

Feeling I’ve created distance because of my sight

Mental scars and with so much thought confusion

My thoughts are burred and my mind has a contusion

So like the deaf mute that I am slowly becoming

I will sit in the corner while my feelings are humming

Until the sleeper has come to quickly wake me

And my thoughts and insight set out to be free

Until then I’ll hope and pray no one strays far

Cause losing my heart is much more then a scar
