Remember This?

Personal reflection of a place in time...

The sea breeze warm wind blowing salty air

You and I sat gazing by candles a loving stare

Dinner for two a chilled bottle red blush wine

While the music softly played in rhythm divine

We took this time to be together breaking rules

Leaving behind our friends and musician fools

Alone to talk as we never could in such intensity

Conversing words we carried dear and romantically

We held each other while dancing in the sand

While stars shine bright in the distance the band

We slipped away, tucked away under satin linen

Our passions took wings with little indecision.

We were in love, something special sparked true

Time stood still for us the whole night thru

Daylight came, and time tore us far apart

But whispers have wings of a new start

Waiting for a repeat of the night of the beach

Chance may have grown old and out of reach

Wisdom in words doesn't always stay true

So I say that the moment past was my cue.
