The Wall of Denial

Just some passing thoughts

The greatest wall is that of denial

That happiness and trust are so vile

Make no attempt to try to escape

Our excuses for curtains we drape

Afraid to move forward in our fear

Staying still we long for love dear

We want communication to be had

Then nip at it as words going bad

Hiding little pieces, afraid of the dark

So retreating back, distrusting we park

The brick wall still standing in our space

Alone we sit denying the human race

Blaming everyone else for our deed

The wall we created never to be freed

Yelling the words, causing others pain

Because of a wall our loneliness sustain
