WRONG

WRONG

A Poem by Hunter Zabbai
"

Whiskey

"
Just understand my view this time
Deaf to the sounds of loss and pain
Blissful ignorance breeds you all to be blind
Protect your money in this game called life

I'll just sacrifice what's real
For what's easier to feel

Won't revisit there
I don't miss it
So let's just forget it
Act like we never meant it
What's your name anyway?

Walk away I know it's coming
Emotions invested, wasted and flooded
If this ride keeps going on, then who'll care if I die?
LIE! I don't want the answer, just keep wasting your time.

I'll just sacrifice what's real
For what's easier to feel

Won't revisit there
I don't miss it
So let's just forget it
Act like we never meant it
What's your name anyway?

These thoughts in my head have left me with no room left to speak
Alone in my desert, thirsty with nothing to drink
My mouth is dry, hungry, looking for a way to release
Don't tell me leaving ain't as hard as it seems

Act like we never meant it
What's your name anyway?
Act like we never meant it
What's your name anyway?
Act like we never meant it
What's your name anyway?
Act like we never meant it
What's your name anyway?
Act like we never meant it
What's your name anyway?
Act like we never meant it
What's your name anyway?
Act like we never meant it
What's your name anyway?
Act like we never meant it
What's your name anyway?
