Christ isn't a true American.

Christ isn't a true American.

A Poem by Hunter Zabbai

some people can lend a helping hand
others hand out none
some people shell out
money like theirs they are done
lives are living themselves no more
hands are in the sand
looking for the riches
finding only bland

nothing to find but that your whole race is blind
thinking about the future that won't be there
i won't care, you will stare
at the new future
that they will blare

bird with the Word
speaking to the Heard
yelling as if they were deaf
telling them all of the Flem
that will come out of their lungs
and spin about like funk

only this life
will teach us with wife
that we are each worth some s**t
some are afraid
others late
pay your bills or you will  hate

taking it easy on this Sunday
for the future fallacy
no one expected it easy
with a frightful scream
it's all so easy

no one expects you to be happy
no one expects you to be sad
we all expect the normal
even in our formal
