GratitudeA Poem by Bobbi DuffyHow we pray matters.Gratitude The twenty-four elders fell down before His who sits on the throne, and worshiped who lives forever and ever. They lay down their crowns before the throne and said, “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they were created and have their being. Rev 4:10-11 When speaking to God, we need to have an attitude of thanksgiving. Not because of what we have, or have accomplished or the prizes we’ve won. But because we know that everything we are or have comes from Him. The air we breathe, the birdsong we hear, the breezes we feel on our face All come to us by his loving grace. Each wave in the ocean, each drop of water we drink, Our body’s mechanics and our ability to think, The sun’s warmth and the moon and star’s light If God takes his love away, would be lost in less than a night. So when you pray begin with praise moving to thanks that you are living And for the gift of salvation by the grace of His Son Sing the praises of God, my friend, with vigor and vim. ©2015 B.Duffy © 2015 Bobbi DuffyReviews
