Is It?

Is It?

A Poem by BoSweets

He said things no one else dared say,

He noticed I always had to have it my way.

Now don’t get him wrong this ain’t a problem,

See he adores a woman who will stand on two limbs.

He made me aware of things I didn’t want to face.

While at the same time, took me to an exotic place.

I reached deep in my soul and found even more growing to do.

He explored my mind like never before,

Now I can meditate instead of walking out the door.

I feel radiance inside that pours out every moment he’s around.

Every time our eyes meet, my face presents a glow similar to peace.

When we’re together I feel like the queen that I am.

I’m switching to roast beef baby, I no longer like ham.

Is this that dream guy come true?

Or is he that prescription that was due?

Ooh Lord tell me now,

Just let me know if he’s really down.

Could this really be it?

Is It?

Or just some

MO’ S**t!!

The perfect dream lover, only in dream sequences does this exist.
Sometimes we come close but as we all know, nobodys perfect...
A beautiful write indeed, P.S. Loved the last two lines :)

Wow...its that secure feeling you get from new love. That person that changes you and you fall heads over heels for..and with them...everything just seems so......right. The test is when time grabs ahold...will it still be the same..and the suspense makes you wonder. Good poem =)

How can a woman tell! How charming a fellow can be until he gets his way... then ... well, maybe, maybe not! Lively, sparkling writing by a sassy kind of person!

Great ending...a fun read - the longing expressed in the beginning is turned around on its ear by the ending...made me smile. Thank you.
Light,
