AdreamedA Poem by BlysfulEscapism relatable to anyone suffering from a bad day after a particularly wonderful night of dreams.
If I dream of far off plains
and misty headed mountains or perhaps of vast woodlands with faeries and fountains Then am I to be of blame when I wake with a frown? For the world I've woken to would merrily cast me down. Allure though it does possess I'd sooner fall off to sleep to escape to lands of old with towers high and dungeons deep. If I dream of beauty fair and legends of my hist'ry or adventures that delve into haunted mystery Then am I to be of blame when with a frown I wake? For the world I've woken to Should certainly see me break. Though joyous this place can be I'll be more beatific with dreams there I journey free of doubt unshackled from Awake's regimes. If I stay and don't wonder trapped in the farce I'm 'living' and smile as though I'm content you'll find my grin misgiving As I'm not accountable for what actions I must take to convince you and others that I'm happier awake. You watch me with great concern as if my thoughts are dismal but if you watch whilst I sleep you'll see that I am blissful. © 2014 BlysfulAuthor's Note
