My SuccessA Poem by BlyndSikickAll that I’ve wanted and All that I’ll be Is out there somewhere Just waiting for me. Beyond all the fog, Opaqueness, and rust My future is waiting; I know that it must. Calling me further, My own motivation, Waiting to give me A standing ovation. Daring and bold. Won’t let me back down. No matter my fight It will stand its own ground. “Enough is enough I’ve had it, I’m through.” Success will keep waiting, Tried and true. For no matter the struggle, Or hardships ahead Success will be waiting Until I am dead. Great are the challenges Ahead I must face, But all we be well Within its warm embrace. Hardships aplenty Will stand in my way, But dead set on my path I’ll most certainly stay. Instead of destruction Or rotten demise, Great things are my focus; Determined, my eyes. Just try and stop me And see what you get. Through darkness ahead My path will be lit. Kicking and screaming, My troubles they flee. Washed slowly away Like sand in the sea. Like many before me And many to come, I think life’s greatest challenge Is hard to be won. Many have failed, But my course won’t deter. But I hope that by now That was easily inferred. Nothing before Have I wanted this bad. The thoughts I have many; The colors, myriad. Oh! How it burns! The desire, defeating, But it’s always there When my patience is fleeting. Pushing me harder, My drive to succeed. “Never back down,” My personal creed. “Quitting, like failure Is just not a choice.” To fail to forget, It aloud do I voice. Ruin impossible. My confidence peaking. You can say I’m all talk, But I’m more than just speaking. Suppress all your fears, And reflect on the good. Be clear and precise. Don’t be misunderstood. Troubles, forget them Their purpose is sole: To tire and toil, To work and to toll. Upon the completion Of my wildest dreams, I’ll know that it’s true: Life is what it seems. Vigor will help In your greatest endeavor. You’ll never back down, And you’ll never say never. Without it’s effects My life would seem dull. It feels like a contract, I won’t void and null. Xerox these words And I’ll read them often, To cushion the blows; I know they will soften. “Yes!” is my word, I don’t think it’s funny. Regardless of weather, I’ll always be sunny. Zero to hero; The top of the town. All will be waiting To see what I’ve found. © 2009 BlyndSikickReviews
