Roses are red

Roses are red

A Poem by Emily

The house we build
From roses grown in our garden
Began to wilt last Tuesday
And I’m not sure why
broken petals began to gather at my feet
But I’m afraid that soon
The thorns will begin to cut deeper
And red will become my least favourite colour
When it used to be my favourite

not always so..
This can also be taken as a sign of growing.
May you write it all out.

Well composed metaphor for early signs of relationship issues.
