Wish I was the breeze
Floating by
Gliding over land and sea
Free and easy
Seeing you there
I would kiss your face

Wish I was an Eagle
On warm golden air
An overlord of bronze
With all seeing eyes
I would swoop down
And take you to the clouds

Wish I was the ocean
With power all around
Ever fresh and surging
Forever at your shores
Trying to reach you and
Dying on your beaches

I like how you use the imagery of the wind, an eagle, and the ocean to express love for a special person. I hope the ending lines don't indicate a sad ending to the romance.

You do the natural world right in this poem, with this metaphor; it's very well done. In today's modern civilization it's easy to forget that we are as much a part of that world as all the ocean's, it's beaches, all the birds in the sky, all the germs in the air and all animals on the ground.
