Evergreen

A Story by Bluefire

The sky leaks colors into the earth,
Like we cry feelings into our hands.
In a land with no stars, fire burns faintly,
Coldly into your veins.
Like the desert sand hitting your face,
Scratches catch like thorns to a rose.
Green blumes in the darkest of places,
And blood spills in the cleanest of pools.
Round and round I travel,
Like a dead moth blowing through the streets.
Your words ever present on my tongue,
Your image ever present in my mind.
