My Life On Mars

It just came to me

I miss my life on mars.
I miss that brief time I could see the stars.
I miss the waves flowing beneath my feet.
And the sight of the Milky way,
Oh so sweet.
I miss the stars above,
Twinkling beyond my dark handed glove.
I miss the smell of your cigarette,
And the smoke as it clouded around your dark silhouette.
I miss your tales of love and hurtful things,
And how you desperately searched for wings.
I miss you and all that your soul brings.
Will you come back to me from afar,
And take me back to my life on mars?

Delicious, that really- "And how you desperately searched for wings." -wow. That line struck me! I am quite speechless, not that I was ever one for speeches. It was so refined and fluid, I say again, it struck me. The repetition of the 'I miss[es]..' really made it strong and- wow, it struck me.

yes...the original copyright holders are in the U.S not marvel D.C comics though....but u still can get 3 block strips on newspapers...
