Dance With Me

Dance With Me

A Poem by Jaci

Come dance with me

the whale said

do a jig upon my back

with joy leap

into the sun

have some fun today

the dolphins smiled

from cheek to cheek

laughing at peoples audacity

and they chattered about

how thrilling it was

to live in the ocean deep

The whale spouted

a great jet of air

as he chortled with glee

like a fountain of jewels

it glittered in the air

and wet my hair with mist

Forget about your legs my dear

remember you once had fins

and swam about seas of blue

much the same as them

so dance

forget industry for a while

work and paper money bits

are meaningless to me

people should play

now and then

life is much better that way.
